Heartsaver CPR in Schools

This year's subjects won't be limited to reading, 'riting and 'rithmetic. We're adding resuscitation. The American Heart Association’s Heartsaver CPR in Schools Course empowers students to become heroes through CPR and AED training.

Course Description
Students will learn the lifesaving skills of CPR, how to relieve choking, and how to use an AED (automated external defibrillator). The program uses the research-proven Practice-While-Watching instruction method for CPR to improve learning and retention. This course was specifically designed to appeal to students through illustrations in a unique training video featuring interviews with teens and edgy video footage.

Intended Audience
This course was designed for schools that want to provide CPR and AED training to their middle and high school students. While this is one of several options schools can use to provide CPR training to their students, it is the only course that offers a credential course card upon successful completion.
